These actions are executed programmatically on behalf of the parent or legal guardian and are intended to curate and improve the content recommendation algorithm for age-appropriate viewing.

The automated engagement features are designed to:

  • Train the third-party platform's recommendation algorithm to surface content consistent with parental preferences
  • Reduce the visibility of content deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with whitelisted categories
  • Enhance the overall effectiveness of parental content controls

8.3 Randomization and Variability

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Automated engagement actions may be applied randomly, selectively, or variably based on algorithmic performance analysis
  • The frequency, timing, and specific nature of automated actions may vary without prior notice
  • Automated features may be enabled, disabled, modified, or adjusted at any time based on observed effectiveness of the recommendation engine optimization
  • No guarantee is made regarding the specific outcome or impact of any automated action on the third-party platform's algorithm

8.4 Data Handling

WhitelistVideo does not store, retain, or transmit to its servers any data regarding the automated engagement actions performed by the extension. All automated interactions occur locally within your browser and directly with the third-party platform. Register Inc. does not collect, aggregate, or analyze data about likes, dislikes, subscriptions, or playlist modifications executed by the automated engagement features.

  • Third-party platforms may modify, restrict, or prohibit automated interactions at any time
  • Register Inc. is not responsible for any account restrictions, suspensions, or actions taken by third-party platforms in response to automated engagement
  • You assume all risk associated with the use of automated engagement features on third-party platforms

8.7 Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability for Automated Engagement

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Register Inc. makes no warranties regarding the effectiveness, accuracy, or outcomes of automated engagement features
  • We are not liable for any changes to video recommendations, algorithm behavior, or content visibility resulting from automated actions

  • You release and hold harmless Register Inc. from any claims related to automated engagement features, including but not limited to unintended subscriptions, likes, dislikes, or playlist modifications

9. AI-Analysis Feature

WhitelistVideo offers AI-powered content analysis features to assist parents in evaluating video content. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

9.1 Third-Party AI Infrastructure

The AI-Analysis feature relies on third-party artificial intelligence infrastructure providers, including Large Language Model (LLM) services, to process and analyze content. We do not control the underlying AI models or their outputs. These third-party providers may update, modify, or change their AI systems at any time, which may affect the analysis results.

9.2 No Child Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

WHITELISTVIDEO DOES NOT COLLECT, STORE, PROCESS, OR TRANSMIT ANY CHILD-SPECIFIC PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION TO ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING AI SERVICE PROVIDERS. The Service explicitly does not collect, process, or transmit:

  • Full names, last names, or legal names of children
  • Exact birthdates, birth years, or precise ages of children
  • Photographs, images, or biometric data of children
  • Physical addresses, school names, or location data associated with children
  • Email addresses, phone numbers, or contact information of children
  • Device identifiers, IP addresses, or persistent identifiers linked to child profiles
  • Viewing history, watch patterns, or behavioral tracking data attributable to individual children

9.3 Age Band Information Transmitted to AI Services

For the purpose of providing age-appropriate content filtering, WhitelistVideo transmits the following limited, non-personally-identifiable information to third-party AI service providers:

  • Age Band: A generalized age range category (e.g., "8-10", "11-13", "14-15") to enable age-appropriate content assessment. This is NOT an exact age, birthdate, or any information that could identify a specific child.
  • Video Metadata: Video titles, descriptions, channel names, and category tags from third-party platforms for content analysis purposes.
  • Parent-Configured Preferences: Content categories and filtering rules configured by the parent.

Age band information, when combined with video metadata, cannot be used to identify, contact, or locate any specific individual child. This data transmission is essential to the functionality of AI-powered content filtering and does not constitute collection or processing of child personal information under COPPA, GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy regulations.

9.4 Consent to AI Processing

BY USING WHITELISTVIDEO, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT TO:

  • The transmission of age band information and video metadata to third-party AI and Large Language Model (LLM) service providers for content analysis
  • Processing of such data by third-party artificial intelligence systems, including but not limited to services provided by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud AI, and similar providers
  • The probabilistic and non-deterministic nature of AI-generated content assessments
  • Potential variations in AI analysis results over time due to model updates by third-party providers
  • Third-party AI providers' data handling practices as described in their respective privacy policies

Your continued use of the Service following acceptance of these Terms constitutes your ongoing consent to the data processing activities described herein. If you do not consent to AI processing, you may use WhitelistVideo without AI-powered features by disabling AI content analysis in your account settings.

9.5 Probabilistic Nature of AI

AI systems are inherently probabilistic and not deterministic. This means:

  • Analysis results may vary for the same content when analyzed at different times
  • AI assessments are suggestions and should not be treated as absolute determinations of content appropriateness
  • The AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent results
  • Content categorization and safety ratings are approximations, not guarantees

9.6 Parental Monitoring Requirement

Parents and guardians must actively monitor their children's video consumption to ensure proper compliance with family guidelines. The AI-Analysis feature is designed to assist—not replace—parental judgment and oversight. You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing AI recommendations before approving content
  • Monitoring your child's viewing habits and reactions to approved content
  • Making final decisions about content appropriateness for your family
  • Adjusting settings and whitelists based on observed outcomes

9.7 Reporting Deviations

If you observe significant deviations, inaccuracies, or concerning results from the AI-Analysis feature, please report them to us immediately at support@whitelist.video. Your feedback helps us improve the service and address potential issues.

9.8 AI Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Register Inc. makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated analysis
  • We are not liable for any decisions made based on AI analysis results
  • We are not responsible for content that is incorrectly categorized or assessed by the AI
  • We disclaim all liability for any harm, damages, or adverse outcomes arising from reliance on AI-Analysis features
  • You assume all risk associated with the use of AI-powered features

By using the AI-Analysis feature, you expressly agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Register Inc., its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to the AI-Analysis feature, including but not limited to:

  • Inaccurate content assessments or categorizations
  • Content that was approved by AI but deemed inappropriate by parents
  • Any exposure to content that circumvented AI analysis
  • Reliance on AI recommendations without independent parental review

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10.1 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.

10.2 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting privacy@whitelist.video. Data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

12.3 Exceptions

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or violations of confidentiality.

13. Technical Dependencies and Platform Changes
