With the device's own controls, you need Family Link on your phone, your child's Family Link account, and their Android device.
In Family Link, choose your child, tap Controls, then App limits, and block YouTube. To turn it back on, you unblock the app yourself.
Here's the catch. An app block stops the YouTube app on that device only. YouTube in a browser stays open, and an iPad or laptop needs its own settings.
