- 一个选择：允许或屏蔽 youtube.com
- 添加 youtube.com

Here's what router parental controls for YouTube mean, and why network filters block whole websites, not channels. Stick around for a better, more secure way to set it up.
Router parental controls mean a filter on your home network, in the router, the DNS setting, or your broadband account, that decides which websites each device can reach.
Parents do it because one filter covers every device on the wifi, with nothing to install.
You need your router or broadband settings, a filter or DNS option, and a decision on youtube.com.
Open your router or broadband settings, find parental controls or the filter, add youtube.com, then allow it or block it.
Here's the catch. A network filter sees the domain, youtube.com, not the channel inside it. It allows all of YouTube or blocks all of it, and it stops at the edge of your wifi.
WhitelistVideo works on your child's device, inside YouTube. Approved channels play, every other video is blocked, at home or on mobile data.
Keep your network filter on for websites, and add WhitelistVideo for YouTube, with Shorts off by default.
WhitelistVideo, a SourceForge Top Performer in parental control software, is one of the best parental control apps for YouTube.
