Managing Your Subscription

This guide walks you through every step of your subscription journey - from your first subscription to upgrading, downgrading, and canceling.

Free Trial

Every new WhitelistVideo account gets a short free trial so you can try the initial setup and see how the product works. No credit card required.


What You Get During the Free Trial

The trial is limited in duration and features — it's designed to help you evaluate WhitelistVideo before choosing a plan:

During Your Trial

While your trial is active:

  1. Basic access - Core features to test the setup
  2. No payment needed - Try WhitelistVideo free during the trial
  3. Subscribe anytime - Choose a plan to unlock full features

When Your Trial Ends

If you don't subscribe before your trial expires:

  1. Your access stops
  2. Your settings are saved (not deleted)
  3. Subscribe anytime to restore everything

Important: Your settings are saved, not deleted. If you subscribe later, everything reactivates!


How to Subscribe After Trial

Go to Billing

Go to Settings → Subscription & Billing and tap "Choose a Plan".

Choose Your Plan

Select from:

  • Basic ($6.99/month per child) — Bypass-proof protection, time controls, YouTube controls
  • Premium ($14.99/month per child) — Auto-pilot, categories, Request & Approve, everything
  • Lifetime ($299.00 one-time) — Everything in Premium forever, up to 5 children

Enter Payment Details

Complete the Stripe checkout with your card information.

Done!

Your plan activates immediately. All saved settings reactivate.


Trial FAQ

Can I use the trial more than once? No. Each account gets one trial.

What if I forget to subscribe? Your access stops but settings are preserved. Subscribe anytime to restore everything.

Will I be charged automatically? No. You must choose a plan and add a payment method to be charged.


Common Scenarios

"I want to try before paying"

Good news! Every new account gets a short free trial!

  1. Sign up for free (no credit card needed)
  2. Test the initial setup and see how WhitelistVideo works
  3. The trial is limited in duration and features
  4. Subscribe to a plan to unlock full protection

"My trial is ending soon"

To keep using WhitelistVideo:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription & Billing
  2. Tap "Choose a Plan"
  3. Select Basic, Premium, or Lifetime
  4. Enter payment details
  5. Your protection continues uninterrupted

If you miss the deadline:

  • Your access stops automatically
  • Your settings are saved (not deleted)
  • Subscribe anytime to restore everything

"My trial ended and I lost access"

Don't panic! Your data is safe.

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription & Billing
  2. Choose Basic, Premium, or Lifetime plan
  3. Complete payment
  4. All your children, channels, and settings reactivate instantly

"I need to add another child"

If you're on Basic/Premium:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription & Billing
  2. Click "Buy More Slots"
  3. Select number of additional children
  4. Confirm purchase (prorated charge)

If you're on Lifetime: Up to 5 children are included.

"My payment failed"

What happens:

  1. You receive an email notification
  2. A warning appears on your dashboard
  3. You have 7 days to fix it

How to fix:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription & Billing
  2. Click "View Billing History & Invoices"
  3. Update your payment method
  4. Stripe automatically retries the charge

If not fixed in 7 days: Your subscription is paused until payment is resolved.


"I want to switch from monthly to annual"

Currently, you need to:

  1. Cancel your monthly subscription (at period end)
  2. Wait for it to expire
  3. Resubscribe with annual billing

Tip: Contact support for assistance with this process.


"I'm being charged but not using the service"

Option 1: Cancel your subscription

  • Cancel at period end
  • Your settings are preserved
  • Resubscribe when needed

Option 2: Reduce child slots

  • If you have unused slots, reduce them
  • Go to Settings → Subscription & Billing → "Reduce Child Slots"
  • Receive prorated credit

"I upgraded by accident"

Contact support immediately at support@whitelist.video.

While we don't offer refunds, we can:

  • Downgrade you immediately
  • Apply prorated credit to your account

"I can't access Premium features after upgrading"

Try these steps:

  1. Refresh your browser
  2. Log out and log back in
  3. Check billing page - confirm upgrade was successful
  4. Clear browser cache if issues persist

If still not working, contact support.
