Manage WhitelistVideo from Telegram or WhatsApp

Control your children's YouTube access right from a chat — approve requests, add channels, change safety settings, and more. No need to open the app.

What can I do from the messaging bot?

  • Approve or deny requests with one tap when your child asks for a new channel
  • Add or remove channels — just type the channel name, like texting a friend
  • Create, edit, or delete child profiles — add a new child, update their age, or remove a profile
  • Manage devices — rename, deactivate, or remove connected devices
  • Add child slots — purchase extra slots or reduce unused ones from the chat
  • Manage playlists, categories, and blacklists without opening the dashboard
  • Change safety settings — block Shorts, hide comments, adjust safety levels
  • Undo mistakes — every action has a 30-second undo button
  • Set rules the bot remembers — say "no gaming channels for my son" and the bot applies it automatically

How do I connect Telegram?

Open your WhitelistVideo settings

Go to app.whitelist.video (opens in a new tab) and tap Settings.

Tap "Connect Telegram"

In the Notifications section, tap Connect Telegram. You'll see a 6-character code.

Send the code in Telegram

Tap "Open in Telegram" to launch the bot with the code pre-filled. Or search for the WhitelistVideo bot manually and send the code.

You're connected!

The bot will confirm: "Account linked! You'll now receive notifications here."

If the button doesn't work: Open Telegram, search for the WhitelistVideo bot, and send /start link_XXXXXX (replace XXXXXX with your code). Or just send link XXXXXX.


How do I connect WhatsApp?

Open your WhitelistVideo settings

Go to app.whitelist.video (opens in a new tab) and tap Settings.

Tap "Connect WhatsApp"

In the Notifications section, tap Connect WhatsApp. You'll see a 6-character code.

Send the code on WhatsApp

Tap "Open in WhatsApp" to launch a chat with the WhitelistVideo number (+91 72049 74747) and the code pre-filled. Or save the number and send link XXXXXX manually.

You're connected!

The bot will confirm: "Account linked! You'll now receive notifications here."

First time messaging? If you message the bot before linking, it will introduce itself and walk you through connecting your account.


Can I use both Telegram and WhatsApp?

Yes! You can connect both at the same time:

  • Notifications arrive on both platforms
  • Conversations are independent — manage channels on WhatsApp while checking requests on Telegram
  • Connect each one separately from Settings

About the link code

  • 6 characters — letters and numbers (no confusing characters like O/0 or I/1)
  • Expires after 10 minutes — generate a new one from Settings if needed
  • One-time use — each code works once

How does the bot understand me?

The bot uses AI to understand everyday language. You don't need to memorize any commands — just type what you want, like you'd message a friend.

Examples:

  • "Add Cocomelon for my daughter"
  • "Block gaming channels for Alex"
  • "What has my son been watching?"

Smart behavior:

  • If you have one child, the bot knows who you mean automatically
  • With multiple children, it only asks when it can't tell
  • If something conflicts with a rule you set earlier, the bot will flag it

Safety-sensitive changes (like turning off content filtering) always require you to confirm before the bot makes the change.


Can I manage my subscription from the bot?

Yes — ask things like:

  • "What plan am I on?"
  • "I want to upgrade to Premium"
  • "Update my payment method"

The bot will send you a secure link to complete any billing changes.


What can't the bot do?

For these, you'll need to use the Parent Dashboard (opens in a new tab):

  • View detailed watch history
  • Change your account password
  • Manage account settings (email, profile)
  • Export data

Is the messaging bot safe?

Yes. WhitelistVideo follows strict privacy guidelines:

  • No child full names are sent through messaging platforms — only first names
  • No viewing history is transmitted through Telegram or WhatsApp
  • Every message is verified to make sure it's really from you
  • Link codes are randomly generated, single-use, and expire after 10 minutes
  • All conversation data is encrypted
